367 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism his views on including Lucan in the July 2006 review of the local authority swimming pool programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25597/06]
View answerAs I indicated in my reply to Parliamentary Questions No. 128 and 129 on 8 June last, the Expenditure Review of the Local Authority Swimming Pool Programme which my Department is carrying out is examining, among other things, how it has worked to date and what changes, if any, are required to ensure its effective and efficient delivery. On completion of this Review, the question of re-opening the programme can be considered and if re-opened, it will be open to all local authorities to submit applications.
