620 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position regarding an application for post nuptial citizenship for a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26477/06]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that a certificate confirming the Irish citizenship of the person in question was signed on 15 May 2006 and passed to the Department of Foreign Affairs shortly after for onward transmission to the individual concerned.
