274 Mr. Dennehy asked the Minister for Education and Science if plans are in place, or being considered, for a primary level school at Rochestown, County Cork; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a site for a school there was identified in planning requirements by Cork County Council and that the planning condition is about to lapse; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has identified the need for a new primary school in the Rochestown area of Cork. A site for this purpose has been reserved by the local authority and the Department has confirmed with the local authority the continued need for the site in question and is currently pursuing its acquisition.
