200 Deputy Richard Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the tax paid on air trips is not refunded in the event of cancellation; if he will state what happens to this revenue; and if he has approved the non-refund policy operated by airlines. Since the £5 travel tax was abolished in Budget 2000 there have been no Irish Government taxes levied on flights into, out of or within Ireland.
