The property in question is currently the subject of some consideration in my Department. However, at this time, no final decision has been made concerning its future use.

433 Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Defence his views on selling a vacant building (details supplied) in County Cork to a voluntary organisation in the local community. [22638/07]

The Department of Defence holds only a leasehold interest in the property in question, which is due to expire in April 2028. The future of the property will be decided following clarification of certain aspects in relation to title, which are presently the subject of correspondence with the Chief State Solicitors Office.
