160 Deputy Pat Breen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress that has been made by his Department in its review of the Gaming and Lotteries Acts, 1956 to 1986; the action he proposes to take to regulate newer gambling practices including on-line gambling; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that my predecessor received the final Report of the Casino Committee in April 2007. The Report is a detailed and comprehensive document dealing with all the issues placed before the Committee including the internet. After due consideration of these issues, I will be bringing the Report before the Government.
