167 Deputy Pat Breen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, further to Parliamentary Question No. 100 of 6 November 2007 (details supplied), if a feasibility study has been undertaken by the engineering staff of the Office of Public Works; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The survey component of the feasibility study has been completed and an assessment of the costs and benefits that would be involved in upgrading the embankments is currently being prepared. It is expected that the study will be completed within the next six weeks.
