View answerI have met with the National Youth Council of Ireland and a number of its constituent bodies on a number of occasions regarding funding for the youth sector in 2009. I am aware of the valuable work carried out by the youth sector and have assured the sector that every effort will be made to minimise the impact of the reduction in funding available to the youth work sector and to preserve and maintain existing provision in so far as is possible.
