139 Deputy Ruairí Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 852 and 853 of 24 March 2009, the progress made to date on agreeing a memorandum of understanding with the City and County Managers Association on the timely and efficient acquisition of school sites; when he expects the memorandum to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The development of a Memorandum of Understanding on the acquisition of school sites is a matter for the Department of Education and Science and the City and County Managers Association. I understand that discussions are ongoing with a view to finalising the terms of the Memorandum as soon as possible.
