86 Deputy Brian O’Shea asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment her views on the recommendation of the Special Group on Public Service Numbers and Expenditure Programme that the enterprise functions of Shannon Development should be transferred to Enterprise Ireland and the Industrial Development Authority; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As with all Group recommendations relevant to my Department, I am examining the recommendation in the context of Estimates for 2010 and evaluating its potential impact on the provision of services to enterprise and on my efforts to promote employment.
