239 Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans to allocate additional public order vans to a Garda station (details supplied) in Dublin 5; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46959/09]
View answerThe detailed allocation of Garda resources, including transport, is a matter for the Garda Commissioner to decide in accordance with his identified operational requirements and priorities. I am informed by the Garda authorities that there are two Public Order Vehicles allocated to the Station referred to by the Deputy and there are currently no plans to allocate an additional Public Order Vehicle to the Station.
