1379 Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Health if he will report on the progress made to date in enacting a health information Bill which will support a conducive environment for health research in Ireland as outlined in the 2012 action plan for jobs. [19335/12]
View answerThe Health Information Bill is currently being drafted and is expected to be ready for publication later this year. As set out in the 2012 Action Plan for Jobs, the Bill will support a conducive environment for health research in Ireland through, among other initiatives, facilitating the creation of a streamlined ethics approval process for health research not governed by statutory regulation and EU law.
