131 Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No 81 of 22 March 2012, when the meeting referred to in the question took place; where it took place; if any Government or Department of Finance representative was present at this meeting; if his Department was notified about the meeting; and if so the date of notification. As the Deputy will be aware, notwithstanding State ownership of the institute in question, and as detailed in the Relationship Framework between the Department of Finance and IBRC published on 30 March 2012 on the Department's website, the Bank remains a separate economic unit with independent powers of decision and its Board and management team retain responsibility and authority for determining the Bank's strategy and commercial policies and conducting its day-to-day operations. However, IBRC has informed me that the meeting referred to in Parliamentary Question No81 of 22 March 2012, took place on 28 July 2011 at the offices of the Company referred to in the original question in London. No Government or Department of Finance representative was present and the Department of Finance would not have been advised of the meeting.
