153 Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide an update on consultations which the National Treasury Management Agency is having with staff on salaries in excess of €200,000 to reduce their pay. [18260/12]
View answerI have been informed by the National TreasuryManagement Agency (NTMA) that all fifteen NTMA employees whose salaries exceed €200,000 have agreed to my request that they waive 15% of salary or such amount of salary as exceeds €200,000 if application of the full 15% reduction would bring their salary to below €200,000. I would like to acknowledge the positive response to my request of the NTMA employees concerned.
