393 Deputy Brendan Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 83 of 18 January 2012, the date on which the disused prefabs adjacent to the schools (details supplied) in County Dublin will be removed; if his Department owns the land on which the prefabs have been abandoned; if he will confirm that these prefabs are in an utter state of disrepair and have now become a focal point for anti-social behaviour; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A nearby school which has been authorised by my Department to transfer the prefabs in question to its own site for continued use is currently completing a tender process for the removal of the prefabs. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded and that the prefabs will shortly be removed from the current site. The site upon which the prefabs are currently located is not owned by my Department.
