517 Deputy Regina Doherty asked the Minister for Health if he will consider an exemption for the nursing class of 2011 (details supplied), who were excluded from educational qualification payments, due to a delay in their grading exams until 2012; if these students will not be given this payment retrospectively; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform is currently carrying out a review of allowances in the public service. This review is being undertaken following a Government decision requiring the public service to take additional measures to deliver further efficiencies in the public sector pay bill.
