285 Deputy Paudie Coffey asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide in tabular form the number of persons, non governmental organisations and quangos, that receive remuneration from his Department by way of wages, salaries, pensions, grants and other Departmental funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In response to the Deputy's question no non-governmental organisations or quangos are in receipt of remuneration from my Department. Grants-in- Aid are provided to both the ESRI and the IPA and details of the amounts paid to each can be found in the Revised Estimates Volume (REV) which is published annually. As at 31 May, 2012 there were 310 staff on the payroll in my Department. The current number of staff is under the limit permitted under the Employment Control Framework for my Department. 23 staff have retired since my Department was established in July of last year and are in receipt of pensions which are paid from the Superannuation Vote which is under the remit of my Department. The details as requested by the Deputy are summarised hereunder.

286 Deputy Paudie Coffey asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide a list in tabular form of every quango and non governmental organisation that received any monies from his Department in 2009, 2010 and 2011; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31886/12]

As the Deputy is aware my Department was established on 6 July 2011 and I can confirm that since that date no quangos or non-governmental organisations have received monies from my Department.
