298 Deputy John Deasy asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation if he will provide details of the total expenditure by his Department on providing services through the Irish language in each of the past five years. [31631/12]
View answerThe total expenditure by my Department and its Offices in relation to the provision of services through the Irish language in each of the past five years is as follows: 2008, €63,872; 2009, €85,350; 2010, €42,461; 2011, €48,424; and 2012, €12,989 (to date). The recorded expenditure in 2009 was higher than in other years, due in part to the translation into the Irish language of information leaflets; new forms and website content for the Companies Registration Office.
