View answerThe Health Service Executive (HSE) compiles monthly performance reports which include statistics in relation to children in care. These reports are published on the HSE website. The latest published report shows that 5,742 / 92.3% of children in care had an allocated social worker in April 2012. In March 2011, 5,700 / 93.7% of children in care had an allocated social worker.
