38 Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide, in a tabular form, the number of instances that each Department has submitted to him a request and/or business case for an increased pay level for a public servant, adviser or commercial State company CEO. In the context of the overall pay ceilings introduced by this Government in June 2011, I have approved no pay increases for serving public servants, advisors and CEOs of Commercial State Companies, other than in the publically notified case of the CEO of the ESB, that have breached such limits.

The table sets out the position where advisers are being paid above the Principal Officer scale.
