252 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide a spending and project breakdown of his Department’s training, development and incidental expenses for 2012. [36579/12]
View answerThe total estimated expenditure in respect of training, development and incidental expenses for 2012 in my Department is €488,000. The training and development budget is €174,000. This budget is to cover training and development and post — entry education initiatives to ensure that staff have the necessary skills and expertise to enable the Department to meet its strategic priorities and to support a continuous learning culture in the Department. The main items of expenditure in respect of incidental expenses include official entertainment, security, cleaning, subscriptions and sundry running costs of the Department.
