46 Deputy Niall Collins asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of sick days taken by staff in his Department in 2009, 2010 and 2011; the average number of sick days per staff in total across his Department and broken down by Department section in 2009, 2010 and 2011; and the median number of sick days per staff in total across his Department and broken down by Department section in 2009, 2010 and 2011 in tabular form. Details of the sick leave recorded as taken by staff of my Department in 2009, 2010 and 2011 are set out in the following table:
