500 Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide a list of the local authorities who provide their members with the ability to submit written questions for answer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [36369/12]
View answerMy Department does not have the information requested in the question. Notwithstanding that, it is a required objective of every local authority to deal as expeditiously as may be with requests for information by an elected member in accordance with a proper level of customer service. It is up to each local authority, taking account of local circumstances together with custom and practice, to make its own arrangements in responding to requests for information from its members.
