I have detailed below all Ministerial Advisers that are employed in my Department. A salary increase was requested for one Special Adviser based on the substantially higher salary earned in the private sector prior to his appointment as Special Adviser. A single point salary of €110,000 was approved by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.

Under the scheme for Secretarial Assistance which is open to all members of the Oireachtas, Liam Cahill provides PR advice to Minister of State McEntee. The contract for the provision of this service is with Cahill’s Sports Emporium Ltd of which Mr Cahill is an employee. The annual allowance payable under this scheme of €41,092.
