378. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if the Lifestart Project receives funding from her Department by way of grant aid; if so, if she will detail the locations the amount of grant aid and if there is scope to assist with funding the Offaly/Kildare Lifestart Project which is about to cease operating; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Children and Youth Affairs

My Department does not fund the Lifestart Project. I understand that the project involves the provision of a child-centred learning programme for parents of children aged from birth to five years of age. My Department has requested the HSE to consider the issue raised and respond directly to the Deputy.
