Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the contracted cost incurred to date by the Office of Public Works in preparation for the Irish Presidency of the EU; the estimated total cost that will be incurred; the proportion that will accrue to domestic firms; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The contracted cost incurred to date by the Office of Public Works in preparation for the Irish Presidency of the EU is €1.66m (capital and current expenditure). The estimated total cost to be incurred is €9.8m.

All of the contracts to date have been awarded to domestic firms.
