The Irish Sports Council, which is funded by my Department, is the statutory body with responsibility for the promotion, development and co-ordination of sport, including the allocation of funding to National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and for the High Performance Programme.

The development of High Performance Plans by NGBs is a matter for the Irish Sports Council. I have referred the Deputy's question to them for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a reply has not been received within ten days.
