Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Finance the number of political parties in opposition that asked his Department to cost their pre-budget proposals and or their policies in respect of Budget 2012; if he will name the parties in question; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The facility to cost Budget proposals and policies is one made available by my Department, on request, to all opposition parties. In advance of Budget 2012 one such request was received, from Fianna Fáil.
