173. Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the number of housing units in County Louth that have been identified as having a problem with pyrite; the number of persons this problem affects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. According to the report of the independent Pyrite Panel, the pyrite problems appear to be confined to the five local authority areas of Dublin City, Fingal, Meath, Offaly and Kildare. The Panel was not informed of pyrite problems in County Louth.
