191. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the reason the disadvantaged area payment was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway. [46938/12]

While the person named applied for derogation under the 2012 Disadvantaged Areas Scheme, the application was unsuccessful. The person named informed accordingly by letter dated 9 October and was also advised of his right of appeal to the recently established, independently chaired, DAS Appeals Committee.
