An estimated €810m in sustainable pay bill savings and approximately €680m in non-pay or efficiency related savings has been achieved during the first two years of the Public Service Agreement 2010-2014. This is broken down as follows:

Year 2

(Q1 2011 to Q1 2012)

Total

Sustainable pay bill savings

€521m

€810m

Non-pay savings

€308m

€370m

€678m

Further details on savings set out in the table above are contained in the two annual reports published to date by the Implementation Body for the Public Service Agreement which are available on the Body’s website at www.implementationbody.gov.ie. Savings covering the period from March 2012 to the end of 2012 will be detailed in the next report of the Body which will be undertaken in Spring 2013.
