View answerFollowing intensive negotiations with the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), the Department of Health and the HSE have reached agreement on a major new deal on the cost of drugs in the State. This deal has a value in excess of €400 million over the next three years and will mean, amongst other things, greater access to new cutting-edge drugs. The HSE is finalising arrangements for the reimbursement of Abiraterone Acetate (Zytiga®) in line with the new agreement.
