685. Deputy Arthur Spring asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide an assessment of the outcomes that result from the pedestrianisation of main and secondary streets in regional towns in particular for retail and tourism; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no function in this matter.  Pedestrianisation is a matter for the local authority in its administrative area. The  assessment of the outcome of pedestrianisation in any individual case would similarly be a matter for the local authority concerned.
