257. Deputy Marcella Corcoran Kennedy asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding an application for new classroom accommodation in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [51271/12]

I can confirm that the school referred to by the Deputy has made an application to my Department for capital funding for an additional Mainstream Classroom.

This application is currently being assessed and a decision will be communicated by my Department to the school authorities shortly.
