Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number and location of primary schools throughout County Kildare currently under construction in respect of extension works on new school building; when the new accommodation is likely to become available; the extent of any obstacles to achieving this objective; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will be aware that the Department of Education and Skills recently terminated the contractor's obligation to complete the works at St Anne's National School in Ardclough, Co Kildare. Work on procuring a completion contractor to complete the works is currently underway. My Department is not aware of any difficulties with any other building project listed in the table.
