Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation if he will provide in tabular form the number of jobs announced by the Industrial Development Agency; the number of jobs created in IDA supported companies and the value of grants awarded and the value of grants refunded to the IDA for each of the past five years. The Forfás Annual Employment Survey reports on job gains and losses in companies that are supported by the industrial development agencies. The number of new jobs created in IDA client companies in each of the years 2007 to 2011 is set out in the following tabular statement. Figures for 2012 will not be available until the end of the year.
Information relating to grants awarded by IDA to its client companies is confidential between the Agency and the client company. However, total figures for grants paid by IDA and refunded to IDA in each year 2007 to 2011 are contained in the financial statements to the Agency’s Annual Report and Accounts, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. IDA’s Annual Reports for each of the years 2007 to 2011 are available on the Agency’s website www.idaireland.com.
