652. Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the reason Ireland is not being promoted as a tourist destination on the ground at major Irish festivals in places such as Maryland, Catskills and Pittsburgh; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [50838/12]

The matter raised is an operational one for Tourism Ireland Limited as the body responsible for promoting the island of Ireland as a visitor destination overseas.
