As stated in my response to previous questions on 6 November last, I am anxious to see the potential for job creation as identified in the Report of the High Level Group on the Jobs Initiative for the Killybegs region, materialise. I also want to see the greatest possible number of the actions identified in the five Key Areas delivered on so that the potential for job creation can be realised to the greatest extent possible in the current economic climate. The last meeting of this group took place on Monday, 5 November in Killybegs where I understand progress across a range of other areas, in addition to the Seafood area, was reviewed. I can confirm, as I have responsibility for that area, that the seafood development aspects remain on track at this stage to deliver its target of new jobs.
