View answerThe commitment in the Programme for Government is that we will review the grading structure of the civil service and public service and reduce number of management grades. As stated in my reply of 21st November, 2012, under the Public Service Reform Plan my Department is reviewing the grading structure of the Civil Service. The review of the grading structure in other sectors of the Public Service is a matter for the relevant parent Department in each case.
