View answerI am informed by the Registrar General that this case was referred from the Coroner for Donegal North East to the Coroner for Donegal North West on 4th September 2012 and a date has not yet been fixed for an inquest. Where a death has been referred to a Coroner, the death can only be registered on foot of a Coroner’s certificate. The death will be registered by the local registrar on receipt of a Coroner’s certificate as provided for under section 41 of the Civil Registration Act, 2004.
