Written answers

The person concerned applied for Disability Allowance and was refused. He has appealed this decision to the independent Social Welfare Appeals Office and is awaiting the result of this appeal. In the meantime, he has applied for Supplementary Welfare Allowance and this is currently being investigated by the Designated Officer as this allowance is subject to a means test. He will be notified of the outcome of this application as soon as possible.
