Deputy Martin Ferris asked the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 283 of 6 November 2012, if a person who is in receipt of separate remote area grants for two children attending two different schools who has had one payment stopped is in fact entitled to claim both payments [55065/12]

Minister of State at the Department of Education and Skills

Under the terms of my Department's School Transport Scheme the maximum daily allowance payable under the Remote Area Grant is €5.10 per day. The family, in question, are in receipt of this daily maximum.
