373. Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Social Protection when a decision will issue on an application for a carer's allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim; the reason for the delay; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [56794/12]
View answerI confirm that the department received an application for carer’s allowance from the person in question on the 20th December 2011. The application is with a deciding officer at present who is currently awaiting financial information that was requested from the client on the 28th November 2012. Once the financial information requested is received and the application is processed, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
