Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the reason a payment under the sheep grassland scheme was recouped by his Department in July 2012 having been paid to a person (details enclosed) in County Galway in February 2012; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe person named originally declared thirty two breeding ewes on their 2010 sheep census declaration and was paid accordingly. Subsequently, an additional census form was received on reducing the number of breeding ewes declared by the applicant to zero. The case was recalculated based on the more recent declaration and payments adjusted accordingly.
