329. Deputy Regina Doherty asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will consider the mandatory inclusion of defibrillator equipment in all secondary schools and their facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1696/13]
View answerThe question of whether defibrillator equipment should be mandatory in public places such as schools or other areas is primarily a public health matter and would therefore be a matter for the Department of Health. The consideration of such matters would also need to take account of factors such as cost and training of relevant personnel.
