388. Deputy Willie O'Dea asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation if Home and Community Care Ireland have been in touch with him concerning the issue of the status of live-in carer's under the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 and the Working Time Act 1997 and the policing of that legislation by the National Employment Rights Authority; and the action he proposes to take to resolve this issue. I can confirm that I have received representations from Home and Community Care Ireland and that officials from my Department have agreed to meet with their representatives to discuss the issue further.
