My Department appointed consultants to complete the design and tender process for the construction of terminals at the airstrips on Inishbofin and Cleggan in February 2011. An amount of €15,495.91 has been paid to the consultants to date. The consultants have obtained planning permission for the construction of the terminals and have conducted site investigations. They are currently preparing tender documents for the construction phase of the project. My Department is not in a position to state when their work will be completed or when tenders will be sought for the project.
