766. Deputy Michelle Mulherin asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will provide details of all renovation works to a Garda station (details supplied) in County Mayo in the past five years and the cost of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1005/13]
View answerI am advised by the Garda authorities that during the relevant period no expenditure was incurred by An Garda Síochána in respect of repairs to Kilalla Garda Station.
I am further advised that between 2009 and 2011 the Office of Public Works has separately undertaken refurbishment works at the station with a view to securing the overall fabric and integrity of the building, in the context of its property portfolio. I understand that the costs involved amounted to a total of approximately €52,700. The expenditure incurred on these works was provided from the Vote of the Office of Public Works.
