An application under the Disadvantaged Areas Scheme was received from the person named 10 April 2012. On processing the application it was established that there was no livestock on the holding of the applicant during 2012, as required by the Terms and Conditions of the Scheme.

The applicant sought a review on grounds of Force Majeure/Exceptional Circumstances. On review of further documentary evidence requested and received, it has been confirmed that the stocking requirements may be waived, due to exceptional circumstances. The necessary arrangements are now being made to process the application to finality, with a view to payment issuing shortly.
