Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Skills if, in relation to the delivery of post primary schools through PPP bundles, he considered it necessary and appropriate for assembly halls/multi purpose areas to be equipped with a stage, sound and lighting systems; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has in place detailed design guidelines for primary and post-primary schools. These guidelines, which are available on my Department's web-site, currently provide for a standard range of accommodation and equipment to be provided in all new schools irrespective of delivery method.
